IMPORTANT ITEMS!
- LOCKBOX: The keys are in the lockbox under the porch light. The lockbox code is provided separately.
- HOT WATER: It takes up to a minute for hot water to reach the taps.
- FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Under the kitchen sink.
- FLASHLIGHT: Plugged into an outlet to the left of the dish rack.
- DRIVEWAY FLOOD LIGHT: Controlled via Alexa near front door.
- “Alexa, turn (on/off) the driveway light.”
- WIFI: Modem is located on bookcase in TV room (black Verizon box). If it needs resetting please unplug, wait 15 seconds and plug back in. It will cycle through a self-test and reset. To join simply scan the QR in the printed house manual or on the light switch in the living room. The network and password will also be supplied via the AirBnB app.
- CELL SERVICE: VERY spotty! WIFI calling recommended (check your phone settings to turn this feature on).
- HEAT/AC: You can manually adjust the two thermostats (downstairs in Dining Room, upstairs in Hallway).You can also tell Alexa: “Alexa (raise/lower) the (downstairs/upstairs) thermostat to (desired temperature).” The thermostats reset every day at 7am to this schedule:
- November through April: 7am heat to 68; 10pm heat to 65
- May through October: 7am heat to 68 or cool to 72; 10pm heat to 65 or cool to 71
- TOILETS: The house is on a septic system. Please don’t flush anything other than toilet paper.

- RECYCLING IS MANDATORY: Blue recycle bins are in the garage (accessible through Dining Room). Please rinse any glass/plastic before discarding (mice!). The town assesses fines for not separating recycling (renter responsibility).
- GARBAGE: The kitchen garbage is in cabinet to the left of the microwave in the center island. Please empty garbage and tie bag when full or when checking out and then put the bag in the BLACK GARBAGE BIN under the tree near the base of the driveway. Replacement plastic garbage bags are under the kitchen sink.
- POWER: The generator automatically comes on if power goes out. The WIFI modem may reset automatically. The AC and OVEN/COOKTOP are not connected to the generator and will NOT work if the power goes out.
- COUNTRY-LIVING: Remember, you are in the woods. Don’t be surprised to see deer, foxes, snakes, mice and more. Crickets and spiders are also plentiful. They are all harmless…so don’t freak out!
- OSVALDO! Our landscaper will be on the property every Friday morning to put the garbage and recycling out. He may ask you to move your car if it is blocking access to the recycling bins in the garage.
